Geophone

A seismic sensor designed to detect ground motion and convert it into an electrical signal. It typically consists of a coil suspended in a magnetic field, which moves relative to the casing when the ground vibrates. Geophones are primarily used in land seismic surveys to record reflected and refracted seismic waves.
