Geometrical factor
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001678
A mathematical function that describes the contribution of different parts of the formation to the total signal measured by a resistivity logging tool. It accounts for the spatial distribution of current flow and the sensitivity of the electrodes to the surrounding rock. This factor is used to correct raw resistivity measurements for borehole effects and invasion.
