Oil formation volume factor
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002597
The ratio of the volume of oil at reservoir conditions (pressure and temperature) to its volume at standard surface conditions. This factor accounts for the shrinkage of oil as dissolved gas comes out of solution when pressure decreases. It is typically greater than one and is denoted by Bo.
