Gas-solubility factor

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001643

A coefficient that quantifies the volume of gas that can dissolve in a given volume of oil at specific pressure and temperature conditions. This factor is used in reservoir engineering calculations to predict the behavior of gas and oil mixtures. It is typically expressed in standard cubic feet of gas per stock tank barrel of oil per psi.
