Gas/oil ratio (GOR)

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001641

The volume of gas produced from a well, measured at standard temperature and pressure, divided by the volume of oil produced over the same period, measured at stock-tank conditions. This ratio, abbreviated as GOR, is a key indicator of reservoir fluid type and production performance. The GOR is expressed in standard cubic feet per stock tank barrel (scf/STB) or standard cubic meters per stock tank cubic meter (sm3/sm3).
