Stock-tank original oil in place

The total volume of oil, measured at standard surface conditions (stock-tank conditions), that is estimated to be present in a reservoir before any production begins. This value is a fundamental parameter for calculating reserves and evaluating the potential of an oil accumulation. It is equivalent to stock-tank oil initially in place (STOIIP).
