Steam-oil ratio

A key performance indicator in thermal enhanced oil recovery projects, representing the volume of steam injected per unit volume of oil produced. A lower steam-oil ratio indicates more efficient use of steam and better economic performance. This ratio is typically expressed in cubic meters of steam equivalent per cubic meter of oil, or barrels of steam per barrel of oil.
