Gas deviation factor
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001617
A dimensionless correction factor that accounts for the non-ideal behavior of natural gases at high pressures and temperatures. It quantifies the deviation from the ideal gas law. This factor, often denoted as 'Z', is determined from empirical correlations or equations of state based on gas composition and conditions.
