Gas in solution
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001623
Natural gas dissolved within crude oil under reservoir pressure and temperature conditions. As reservoir pressure declines during production, this dissolved gas comes out of solution, forming a free gas phase. The amount of gas that can dissolve in oil is quantified by the solution gas-oil ratio (GOR).
