Pseudogeometrical factor
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002983
A mathematical concept used in induction logging to describe the contribution of different parts of the formation to the total measured signal. It represents the theoretical response of an induction tool, assuming the currents flow in simple ground loops without interaction. This concept is an approximation, as the actual current paths are more complex; modern tool interpretation uses full computer modeling instead of this simplified factor.
