Flushed-zone water saturation
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001518
The fraction of the pore volume in the flushed zone that is occupied by water, specifically the drilling mud filtrate. This parameter, denoted as Sxo, is determined from resistivity measurements in the flushed zone and is used to estimate residual hydrocarbon saturation. It is a key input for calculating movable hydrocarbons.
