Seismogram
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004443
A graphical record of ground motion produced by seismic waves, captured by a seismograph or geophone. It displays the amplitude of seismic vibrations as a function of time at a specific location. In exploration seismology, a seismogram typically shows the arrival times and characteristics of reflected and refracted waves from subsurface layers.
