Hodogram
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001837
A plot that displays the particle motion of a seismic wave in two or three dimensions over time. It shows the trajectory of a ground particle as it is displaced by the passing wave, revealing polarization characteristics. Hodograms are used to identify wave types, such as P-waves and S-waves, and to determine their direction of arrival.
