Geophone array
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001680
A spatial arrangement of multiple geophones connected together to act as a single receiver unit. This configuration is designed to attenuate unwanted noise, such as ground roll, and enhance the signal-to-noise ratio of reflected seismic energy. The response of the array is determined by the number of geophones, their spacing, and the array length.
