Array
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004229
A group of seismic sources or receivers arranged in a specific geometric pattern to record or generate seismic signals. The combined output from the individual elements is processed to enhance desired signals and attenuate unwanted noise, such as ground roll. Common array patterns include linear, areal, and star configurations, with element spacing determined by the target wavelength and noise characteristics.
