Spread

The geometric arrangement of seismic receivers (geophones or hydrophones) relative to the seismic source during data acquisition. A spread defines the layout of the recording array, including the number of receivers, their spacing, and their distance from the source. Common spreads include end-on, split, and offset configurations.
