Broadside array
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000466
A configuration of electrodes or sensors in a logging tool where the transmitting and receiving elements are arranged side-by-side, perpendicular to the borehole axis. This array design is often used in resistivity tools to achieve a specific depth of investigation into the formation. It contrasts with normal or lateral arrays where electrodes are aligned along the tool axis.
