Balanced array
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000256
A configuration of logging tool transmitters and receivers designed to minimize the influence of the borehole and adjacent formations on the measurement. This is typically achieved by arranging the sensors symmetrically or by using multiple measurements that cancel out unwanted effects. For example, some sonic tools use a balanced array to reduce borehole fluid effects.
