Geophone pattern
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001684
An arrangement of multiple geophones connected together and treated as a single receiver unit to improve signal-to-noise ratio and attenuate ground roll. The pattern's design, including the number of geophones and their spacing, is selected based on the specific noise characteristics of the survey area. Common patterns include linear arrays and areal arrays.
