Borehole seismic data
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000410
Seismic measurements acquired by deploying seismic sensors (geophones or hydrophones) inside a wellbore, often in conjunction with a surface seismic source. This data provides high-resolution information about the subsurface around the well, including vertical seismic profiles (VSP) and check-shot surveys. It is used for correlating surface seismic data with well logs and for detailed velocity analysis.
