Borehole gravity meter
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000408
A downhole instrument that measures minute changes in the Earth's gravitational field within a borehole. It provides information about the density of formations surrounding the wellbore, extending beyond the shallow investigation depth of conventional density logs. These measurements are used to refine geological models and estimate reservoir fluid contacts.
