Stability meter
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003574
An instrument used to measure the electrical stability of oil-based drilling fluids, indicating the emulsion's resistance to breaking. It applies a voltage across the fluid and measures the point at which the emulsion breaks down, providing a numerical value in volts. A higher reading generally indicates a more stable emulsion.
