ES test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001326
The Emulsion Stability test, a laboratory procedure used to determine the electrical stability of an oil-based drilling fluid emulsion. It measures the voltage required to break the emulsion, indicating its stability and the effectiveness of the emulsifying agents. A higher voltage reading generally signifies a more stable emulsion, which is desirable for maintaining fluid performance in the wellbore.
