Emulsion flow
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001296
A multiphase flow regime where one immiscible liquid is dispersed as droplets within another continuous liquid phase. In oil and gas production, this typically involves oil droplets in water (oil-in-water emulsion) or water droplets in oil (water-in-oil emulsion). Emulsions can significantly affect fluid viscosity and flow behavior in the wellbore.
