Water-cut meter
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004105
A downhole or surface instrument that measures the percentage of water in a produced fluid stream. It operates by detecting differences in electrical permittivity, density, or optical properties between oil and water. This measurement provides real-time data on reservoir performance and water breakthrough, with readings expressed as a percentage from 0 to 100 percent.
