Holdup meter
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001843
A downhole production logging instrument designed to measure the volumetric fraction of each fluid phase (oil, gas, water) flowing in a wellbore. It employs sensors that detect differences in electrical conductivity, dielectric constant, or optical properties between the fluids. These meters are typically deployed on wireline or coiled tubing.
