Holdup log
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001841
A production logging tool measurement that determines the proportion of each fluid phase (oil, gas, water) present in the wellbore at different depths. This log uses sensors such as capacitance, resistance, or optical probes to distinguish between the phases based on their electrical or optical properties. It provides a profile of fluid distribution along the production interval.
