Multiphase meter
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002481
A device that measures the individual flow rates of oil, gas, and water simultaneously from a well stream without first separating the phases. It uses a combination of measurement technologies, such as gamma densitometry, Venturi flow, and electrical impedance, to determine the volumetric or mass flow rates of each component. These meters are deployed at the wellhead or on subsea manifolds to provide real-time production data.
