Capacitance log

A production logging tool that measures the dielectric properties of fluids in the wellbore to determine the holdup or volumetric fraction of oil and water. This log operates on the principle that oil and water have different dielectric constants. It is particularly effective in identifying the oil-water contact and quantifying water cut in multiphase flow.
