Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000531
To install equipment on a wellhead to stop the flow of fluids, either in an emergency or as part of abandonment. For permanent abandonment, multiple cement plugs are set inside the casing before the final cap is installed at the surface, a process governed by local environmental regulations.
