Electrical permittivity
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001271
A measure of a material's ability to store electrical energy in an electric field, representing its dielectric property. It influences the speed at which electromagnetic waves propagate through a medium. In rocks, permittivity is affected by mineral composition, porosity, and fluid content, and it is measured in farads per meter (F/m).
