Walk-above vertical seismic profile (VSP)
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004074
A type of vertical seismic profile (VSP) where seismic sources are positioned directly above a downhole receiver, moving along a line or grid on the surface. This configuration provides high-resolution imaging of the subsurface directly beneath the source-receiver path. It is particularly effective for detailed velocity analysis and imaging around the wellbore.
