Offset vertical seismic profile
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002589
A type of vertical seismic profile (VSP) where the seismic source is positioned at a horizontal distance from the wellbore, rather than directly above it. This configuration allows for imaging of geological structures away from the well and provides information on seismic anisotropy. Data from offset VSPs are used to tie surface seismic data to well logs and to delineate reservoir boundaries.
