Offset VSP
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004400
A type of Vertical Seismic Profile (VSP) where the seismic source is positioned at a lateral distance from the wellbore. This configuration allows for the acquisition of seismic data with a range of offsets and azimuths, providing information about the subsurface away from the well. Offset VSP data can be used to image structures, delineate faults, and characterize reservoir properties between wells.
