Probe
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002944
A small, specialized sensor or instrument designed to measure physical properties in a localized area, often inserted into a borehole or directly into the ground. In geophysics, probes are used in well logging to measure parameters like resistivity, radioactivity, or acoustic velocity. They provide high-resolution data about the rock properties surrounding the borehole.
