Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009485

A molecule, often a nucleic acid or protein, that is labeled with a detectable marker and used to identify or isolate a specific target molecule through binding interactions. The marker allows for visualization or quantification of the target. Common labels include radioisotopes, fluorescent dyes, or enzymes.
