Immunoassay

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005655

An analytical method that quantifies a specific analyte by using the highly selective binding reaction between an antibody and its antigen. The concentration of the analyte is determined by measuring the extent of this binding, often through a labeled reagent. Common labels include radioisotopes, enzymes, fluorophores, or chemiluminescent molecules.
