Immunoadsorption
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005654
A therapeutic technique used to remove specific substances, such as antibodies or immune complexes, from a patient's blood plasma. This is achieved by passing the plasma over an adsorbent material that selectively binds to the target molecules. Immunoadsorption is employed in the treatment of autoimmune diseases and certain transplant rejections.
