Minimum effective plasma concentration

The lowest concentration of a drug in blood plasma that is required to produce a therapeutic effect in a patient. Below this level, the drug's pharmacological action is insufficient to achieve the desired clinical outcome. This concentration is a key parameter in pharmacokinetics and drug dosing regimens.
