Inorganic oxide adsorbent
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005888
A solid material composed of an inorganic oxide, such as silica, alumina, or titania, that is used to selectively remove or concentrate substances from a fluid phase through adsorption. These materials possess high surface areas and specific surface chemistries that facilitate the binding of target analytes. They are widely employed in chromatography, sample preparation, and environmental remediation.
