Gas-solid chromatography

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004770

A chromatographic technique where the stationary phase is a solid adsorbent material, and the mobile phase is a gas. Separation of analytes occurs based on their differential adsorption and desorption onto the solid surface. This method is particularly suitable for separating permanent gases and very volatile compounds, such as noble gases or light hydrocarbons.
