Gas-phase-grown carbon fibres
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004769
Carbon fibers produced by the catalytic decomposition of hydrocarbon gases at elevated temperatures. This method involves introducing a carbon-containing gas over a substrate coated with metal catalyst particles, leading to the growth of filamentous carbon structures. These fibers often exhibit high purity and controlled morphology.
