PAN-based carbon fibres

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008429

Carbon fibers produced from polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursors through a series of thermal treatments, including stabilization and carbonization. These fibers are widely used in advanced composites due to their high strength-to-weight ratio and stiffness. They are a dominant type of carbon fiber in the aerospace and defense industries.
