Carbon fibres type HT
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001640
A class of carbon fibres with Young's modulus from about 150 GPa up to roughly 275 to 300 GPa, named for their high tensile strength. Most are made by carbonising polyacrylonitrile precursor fibres. Their ratio of strength to stiffness is higher than that of the HM and UHM types.
