Carbon fibres type LM

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001642

Low modulus carbon fibers, characterized by relatively lower stiffness and strength compared to other carbon fiber types. These fibers are often produced from isotropic pitch precursors and undergo less severe heat treatment. They are used in applications where cost-effectiveness and moderate mechanical properties are sufficient, such as in some industrial filters or as conductive fillers.
