Modulus of elasticity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007461
A material property that quantifies its stiffness or resistance to elastic deformation under stress. It is defined as the ratio of stress to strain in the elastic region of a material's deformation. For tensile or compressive stress, it is known as Young's modulus, typically measured in pascals (Pa).
