Loss modulus
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006774
A measure of the energy dissipated as heat per cycle during a sinusoidal deformation of a viscoelastic material, such as a polymer. It quantifies the viscous component of the material's response to stress. This modulus is represented by the imaginary part of the complex modulus (G'') and is expressed in Pascals (Pa).
