Dynamic-load thermomechanical analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003513
A thermomechanical analysis technique where a material is subjected to a periodically varying mechanical load while its temperature is changed at a controlled rate. The instrument measures the resulting deformation or strain as a function of temperature and frequency. This method provides information about the material's viscoelastic properties, such as storage modulus and loss modulus, and transitions like the glass transition temperature.
