Dynamic mechanical analyser
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003494
An instrument that measures the viscoelastic properties of materials by applying an oscillating force or deformation and monitoring the resulting stress or strain. It determines parameters such as storage modulus, loss modulus, and tan delta as a function of temperature, frequency, or time. This analysis provides insights into a polymer's stiffness, damping behavior, and glass transition temperature.
