Thermomechanical analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011977
A thermal analysis technique that measures the dimensional changes (e.g., expansion, contraction, penetration) of a material as a function of temperature under a constant applied force. This method is used to determine properties such as coefficient of thermal expansion, glass transition temperature, and softening points. It is often applied to polymers and composites.
